Dec 31: This person is packed and ready to drive into the new year! Keywords: New Year, Traveler, Car, Well Packed

Dec 23: Today's hike started at First Water Trail Head and went along the Dutchman Trail (#104) to Parker Pass. Approximately 5.3 miles. Good view of Weaver's Needle-although it looks different from this (North) side. Keywords: Weaver's Needle, Parker Pass, Dutchman Trail, #104 Trail
Dec 22: We went to the LDS Temple in Mesa last night. They have a fantastic display of lights and the nativity story. Here is the Journey to Bethlehem. All images shot hand held (too many people moving around to use a tripod) with the Voigtlander 20mm f/4 lens on a EOS 5D MkII. Dec 20: Sunrise from Silly Mountain. Keywords: MBV Hike, Sunrise from Silly Mountain, HDR
Dec 16: Today's hike was about 5 miles. The wind was blowing hard when we started and the moon was still in the sky. For the photographers out there, here is a "nifty 50" shot at f/1.4; the cactus is "sharp" [pun anyone?] and the mountain in the background has a nice bokeh. Shot on a Canon 5D. Dec 10: Yesterday's hike was along the W. Pinto - 212 trail. We were surprised by the amount of snow along the trail. Click on the tree picture below to see other images from the hike. Mountain Brook Village hikers meet every Friday for a different hike. Keywords: Pinto trail, hike, snow, Sycamore tree
Dec 7: More Bryce Canon NP pictures from last Sunday. Keywords: Bryce Canyon NP, Winter, Hoodoos
Dec 7: Remember Pearl Harbor and the many military men & women and civilians that died 70 years ago!
Dec 6: Stopped at Bryce Canyon NP a couple of days ago. It was 18F with a bit of a breeze, but beautiful. Will process a few of the Hoodoos in the next few days. We were only able to see the views from: Bryce, Inspiration, Sunset and Sunrise Points. (The rest is closed during the winter). This black and white image is blue toned to assist you to "feel the cold." Keywords: Bryce Canyon NP, Winter, Black & White, Blue Tone, Dead Tree
